Rainy Day Things

Not much time for dilly-dallying lately....

especially with an international trip * coming up... 

....but I did manage to finally finish painting that living room....of my dollhouse....it's a buff color now, as opposed to that dreadful pink! Couldn't wait to see that go...

Next, it'll be either 'paneling' (with a new paint color!) or papering it...haven't decide yet. :)

I do know that I want to call it the "Rabbit Room" 

and it's going to be celery green...cream..&..brick red....

Also, besides frantic check-listing for Romania, I've been working on some art.

I did this one (below) this afternoon....but please don't scrutinize it too carefully~! 

It's only marker, you see..... 

I think life is immensely more color-FULL than noticed.

Quiet Days

Quiet days.
Full of this -- and that
or -- this and that things.

Much of nothing,
nothing of much.
Soft and hard,
long and slow.
In and up,
out and down.

Quiet days.
They do so much
when we do so little.

Yes, I Bought A Twilight Hoodie...

Apparently, this is the same jacket worn by Kristen Stewart in the first Twilight movie (except I picked forest color, and hers was blue or gray or something).

Not that I care, and not that I think that adds credibility via celebrity endorsement, but...

... it is the best jacket I have ever owned!

I love it so much, I've worn it almost everyday since I got it in the mail from Amazon on the 4th. No lie. :)

It's been raining all day,
and I don't think Mr. Sun ever got up!
I didn't set my alarm
because I wanted the sun to wake me up...
It didn't happen!
So...

We stayed inside all day,
read books,
stuck to our inside work,
took naps and stuff,
and generally did only just that.

Nothing more!
Nothing else to report!

P.S.~ The pictures signify [1] My quiet, cozy room today, [2] the new ivy plant Mom bought for me while we were grocery shopping recently. Such a nice touch to my room! [3] the ivy above my desk, hanging in my window thanks to a yarn get-up made by my brother [4] a tiny crow-bird statue that I like very much. Thus, it's on the windowsill!

Today Is A Rainy Day

Today is a rainy day and,
I believe that calls for celebration as,
a) it hasn't rained in a good while
b) I love rainy days
c) I need something to celebrate
d) school work is not as exciting as rain
and there's too much schoolwork around here.
^_^

pitter patter rain
running down my face

What beautiful passages. God, beautiful, strong and life-giving, like rain.
Waiting for Him like for him to come down
like it is waiting for a rain after years of drought...

When I first heard Selena Gomez's new song A Year Without Rain,
I kept thinking about Jesus as who she was talking about (rather than a human):
"A day without you is like a year without rain..."

Is one day without Jesus in my life like a year without rain?

"But do not let this one fact escape your notice,
beloved, that with the Lord
one day is like a thousand years,
and a thousand years like one day."
