If there had not been a Netherfield ball to prepare for and talk of, the younger Miss Bennets would have been in a pitiable state at this time, for from the day of the invitation to the day of the ball, there was such a succession of rain as prevented their walking to Meryton once. No aunt, no officers, no news could be sought after..... and nothing less than a dance on Tuesday, could have made such a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday endurable to Kitty and Lydia.*
Often lately I have known firsthand what the Bennet girls must have felt like before a ball......nothing but impatience & eager expectation! This week, I've been working, working, working at this and that.....trying ever so hard not to count the hours before my dear sis, Lizzie's, grand & glorious gradution and party this Saturday!
Oh it's going to be a big affair, I assure you!
And that's precisely why I can't seem to set my mind to anything this week!
It's all the party's fault you see....... ;) So, see you next week! I'll be busy all this weekend. :]
